Many attorneys (and other professionals) may bill time without knowing the exact time they start and stop an event, particularly if the entry is less than their minimum billable increment (.1 or .25) or if they are working on the go. Further, as lawyers, we are not required to necessarily record the stop and start time, just the total amount of time spent. Thus, a biller should not be required to enter start and stop times in order to add manual timesheet entries and you should have a separate box to allow people to add their total time in increments of six minutes .1 or increments of 15 minutes .25. This would make it more practical and user-friendly for entering manual billing, particularly for on-the-go entries and time spent on tasks less than the minimum billable requirements.
