How can I maximise client matching in Clio?
To optimise client matching:
- Add all available contact info to each client: email addresses, phone numbers, first and last names.
- Store documents related to the client in folders named for the client (real or virtual drive).
This helps Chrometa automatically match activity to the correct client.
Does Chrometa capture the contents of emails and files?
No. Chrometa captures metadata only:
- Email subject line, sender, and recipient addresses
- File name and folder location
How are screenshots stored if a file is not named correctly, and what if I label it later?
Screenshots are stored both locally on the user's machine and on AWS cloud servers, based on the user's jurisdiction (UK, US, Canada, etc.).
If a document is labeled 15 minutes into working on it, the screenshot is still correctly associated with the client once allocated.
How does Chrometa capture metadata?
Chrometa uses its native engine to capture metadata via the OS API. The exception is our Outlook plugin for Desktop Outlook.
Unlike some competitors, we do not extract data via app-specific extensions except for the Outlook plugin.
Is Chrometa SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certified?
No, Chrometa is not SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. We do, however, undergo QuickBooks’ security audit regularly as part of their marketplace requirements.
Are client materials ever subject to human review?
No, client materials are not subject to human review under normal operations. Screenshots and metadata are processed automatically.
Human access only occurs in rare cases such as authorized support requests or legal obligations, under strict confidentiality.
Does Chrometa offer trial periods?
Yes! Chrometa offers a 30-day trial for new users.
