We have a special PC-version of Chrometa that syncs directly with Tabs3. Here are the steps to follow to download it to your PC - and hook it up with your Tabs3 account.
And we're happy to help you personally with setup. We provide complimentary installation and ongoing support. Just let us know!
Step 1 - Upgrade to Tabs 3 version 18 and Chrometa's Special Tabs3 Version
- Update your Tabs3 version to the latest build of version 18
- If you are already running version 18, you can get the latest build by selecting Help | Check for Updates in the Tabs3 program http://www.tabs3.com/support/update/v18upd.html
- Update your Chrometa PC Time Tracker to: http://chrometa-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/chrometawin.exe
Step 2 - Create a New Chrometa-specific User ID in Tabs3
If, for example, your Tabs3 User ID is "Brett" - you should create another ID that is Chrometa-specific... such as "Brett2" or "BrettCHR" (8 letters max). And give it a password.
(You can do this via the System Configuration program.)
Then, in Chrometa (under Time - Summary) you will tell Chrometa to use this login.
This way, you'll be able to distinguish time entries imported from Chrometa versus time entries made directly in Tabs3.
Step 3 - Capture a Time Entry and Test the Export
- Start Chrometa
- Right click on the Chrometa icon from the system tray
- Add your Tabs3 Timekeeper ID
- Click on Sync with Tabs3
- After the Chrometa icon stops spinning, right click on the Chrometa icon from the system tray
- Click on Open Chrometa
- Go to Projects
- Check that your Tabs3 matters and clients are in Chrometa
- Go to Time - Summary within Chrometa and categorize a time entry (from Unbilled Time) to a Tabs3 matter
- Right click on the Chrometa icon from the system tray
- Click on Sync with Tabs3
- After the Chrometa icon stops spinning, check that the time entry has been added to Tabs3
Step 4 - Let Us Know How It Went
