Adding "Automatic Time Capture" to QuickBooks Online
As you know, it's nearly impossible to accurately track all of your billable time with only a start/stop timer. You're probably bouncing from email to phone call in rapid fire mode. The last thing you want to worry about is timekeeping, especially if you switch from one client to another as you reply to email messages.
The solution is a timekeeping product that runs in the background of your PC, Mac, and/or smartphone, quietly making note of your activities. Chrometa will help you assign these "automatically captured" time entries to Clients and Service Items from your QuickBooks Online account - and you can export them to QBO with a single-click of the mouse.
Here's how it works...
Enable the QuickBooks Online Integration
Go to Account - Integrations within Chrometa. Click the QuickBooks Online link, then select Enable QuickBooks Online Export.

Check the box to the right of this, then click the Save Integration Info button in the upper-right corner of your screen.

Importing Your Project (Client & Service Item) List From QuickBooks Online
Click the projects page link at the far right of the message above to visit the Projects tab in Chrometa. In the top-right, you will see a Sync With QuickBooks Online button. Click this to import your project list from QuickBooks Online into Chrometa.

Going forward, you use this Sync button within Chrometa to makes sure that your project list is in sync with what you have in QuickBooks Online. Just click it after you make changes within QBO to assure both project lists are in tandem.
(No existing Chrometa projects will be overwritten - new projects are only appended - so you don't need to worry about accidentally overwriting your existing Chrometa project list.)
Exporting Your Chrometa Timesheet to QuickBooks Online
Once you have your Timesheet completed in Chrometa, you can export it to QuickBooks Online with a single click. (More on Chrometa Timesheets here).
To export your entire Timesheet, click the Export to QuickBooks Online button located to the right of the Timesheet header:

To export one project at a time to QuickBooks Online, click the Export menu to the right of the project name, and select Export to QuickBooks Online

Your time entries will be ported over to QuickBooks Online, with the Annotation field from Chrometa becoming the Description in QuickBooks Online. (More on Annotations here).
